Using Fall Color Trends in Interiors

Twice a year, in spring and fall, we step back from interiors to take a look at what colors are trending on runways. With summer winding down, it was time to focus on 2024’s fall color trends. What do fashion trends have to do with color trends in commercial interiors? Many color trends begin their life cycle in the fast-paced fashion world. Some of them eventually filter their way down to interiors, and some don’t. Yet, it’s always valuable to look at other industries and see what ideas and themes are circulating more broadly in our culture.

Color trends in fashion come and go more quickly. In interiors, it takes longer to adopt new colors in my permanent materials. Yet, with on-demand manufacturing, it’s gotten much easier to respond quickly to a trend for a home or even a bigger commercial project.

It got us thinking about which patterns in our library would work well in these fall 2024 color trends? Inspired by these rich jewel tones, we curated a few patterns from our licensable library that feature these on-trend colors.

What patterns work with the fall color trends?

We can see these trends working as accents or feature patterns in a wide range of spaces from hospitality to outdoor living. These colors add richness to a space and feel grounding to the people using them.
