Under the Radar Design Pool Blog Posts

In a previous post, we gave some love to our most popular blog posts you all read this year. That left me feeling a little bad for some inspiring blog posts that flew under the radar. In case you missed it, here is my round up of a few Design Pool blog posts you shouldn’t miss.

First, a few posts for the printers out there.

Throughout the year, Kristen interacted with a lot of printers dying to get into the interior design market. Yet, their knowledge of this market is limited and they don’t know what to do first. With that in mind, we wrote a few posts to help educate digital printers. on breaking into this market.

Back in March, I talked with an interior designer in Providence, Rhode Island about the Four Phases of an Interior Design Project.

I also spoke with Nicole Lashae Ben of Thrive In Design for tips on how she thinks printers should sell to the interior design community.

We also featured a post about why we don’t knock off other designers. Maybe this seems obvious to you, but you’d be surprised how often people ask us to knock something off.

Next, we had a lot of interesting trend pieces.

Throughout the year, we took some closer looks at different industries to see what’s trending and how that impacts interior design.

Bleisure Travel is a growing trend in the world of hospitality and it’s a factor in how spaces like hotels are being designed.

Public spaces serve many different purposes. In this post, we look at five trends we’re seeing in interior design for public spaces.

Trends in Retail are fascinating because they also reflect trends in the broader culture. In this post, we listed five top trends in designing retail spaces.

Lastly, a few posts that are just fun and inspiring.

One of my favorites is one of the most recent. Kristen took an inspiring trip to Italy this fall, and she recently shared her trip in this recent post, Traveling in Italy.

Speaking of travel, earlier this year I went to San Miguel de Allende, a beautiful and colorful city in the central highlands of Mexico. I wrote about how I tried to capture the colors of San Miguel de Allende in my travel journal.

Finally, in the spring I visited New York to view a stunning fiber exhibit at The Met.
